Driving lights

Wanted to install some high intensity driving lights on my fjr. Any suggestions on kind of lights and where to mount them.

Yes there are many threads about lights, but you might just want to skit to the front of the line with LEDRider....

The LR4's are some absolutely epic lights and will light up a neighborhood - and if you want more - they have them...

A couple nice mounting options for your bike are also around..... LEDRider suggests you mount them higher so as to not wash out the pavement in the dark of night....

I have the LR4's with the nice mounts on the mirrors. They work quite well, but they my not be legal where you are.

We have state inspections (VA) and they can sometimes be ******** about it. Mounted above the high beams, not focused light,

not stamped DOT approved. Some crap about covers on the lights for off road like on big 4x4 truck light bars?

If you do not ride at night, you may want to consider the smaller LED lights that mount nicely on the fork area. I mounted my Denali DM LED's on the reflector brackets.

LR5's with the Skene iq-175A controller. Regardless of day or night riding, these, along with the Visi-Billets mounted on the forks, provide more than adequate visibility when necessary and also get cagers attention.

Except I have the MondoMoto SM10 bullet LEDs, and I ride a good bit at night. The separation of the lights seem to make me much more conspicuous to other drivers.

There are plenty of options for the FJR, you just have to pick what you like. In fact, going with more than one set makes good sense.

I have Denali D2Ds mounted from the front fender bolts and a pair of Clearwater Erica's mounted on the under mirror mounts.

I'm a big fan of Clearwater LED lights (as are a decent number of riders here), but they are on the highest end of the spectrum in both price and quality/customer svc. Excellent light output, build quality that's top notch, and fork/mirror mounts.

RFH, I went to the mondomoto.com website and I see MM10 Bullet LED's, is this what you're referring to? ...because SM10 is not listed.

Also, how did you mount them? Could you post a photo please?

I have a pair of these mounted on the fender brackets and hooked up through a dimmer with high beam override.They work great for what I paid and the kind of riding I do.

Similar arrangement that works very well:
