Nice work; very impressive. I'm starting my panel this eve.

Pics of a drop-in electrical panel for various accessories that I built Saturday afternoon:

This panel supplies power and switching for the following:

1) PIAA 1100X Driving Lights (isolated circuit; AutoSwitch controls);

2) Power: Sat. Radio power supply (switched circuit thru FuzeBlock);

3) Power: AutoSwitch (switched circuit thru FuzeBlock);

Note: Primary from battery and Powerlet outlet connect directly to barrier strip

I opted to use the tray below the seat for this panel for accessability and serviceability reasons. There are still plenty of spaces elsewhere on the bike for other boxes should I choose to add additional accessories in the future. I'll finish routing the remaining cabling thru the bike today and post up pics of the completed project later.

First-class workmanship...printing this off as a how-to for my bike now.

I purchased an FZ-1 fuzeblock, it's on backorder. Do you mind telling me what other parts you'd recommend I buy now before I start the project...wires, connectors etc.? I'm an electronic neophyte, but I can follow directions.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, beautifully done! That's exactly the way I want mine to look...it won't...but that's how it looks in my mind. :rolleyes:

I also have the FZ-1 Fuze Block on order and also just ordered the other requisite supplies last night to get my '08 wired up properly. I am hoping that the Fuze Block comes in right around the time I am sending my seat off to Russell to be built at the end of December.

Radman...bell wire & wire nuts????...dude. :blink:

For all us electrical dummies could you label the components and wires?
Great job Sockmonkey! How about a layout of the circuits for the electraical dummies, me for one, so I can better understand the layout and purpose of the different components.

I hope to have this completed this next week too. Excellent work. I think I would have rather got the Fuze Block but I am sure the Blue Sea will work just fine.
