Sliders should be part of the basic package on the bike before it leaves the dealership! A farkle that costs less than $70 buck that can save hundreds of dollars in parts and labor..............

I'm just dumbfounded that anyone would leave their bike laying on its' side long enough to take a picture. I hope there were some extenuating circumstances that led to such behavior. :blink: :blink:

I will say that so many FJRs going down with side stand deployment / non-deployment for the various reasons goes through my mind each and every time I park it. It is helpful to know where the traps lie. You guys have made me quite paranoid about dropping her...and that is a good paranoia.

It is ridiculous to have a product that will be damaged to the tune of $1000 if it merely falls over. It is far too easy for an FJR to fall off the kickstand. There should be contact points on the fairings and saddle bags to absorb a fall with minimal damage. The contact points should be rubber or some material that will not damage easily, and they should be easily and economically replaceable when (not if) a mishap occurs.

Yeah, let's make them as ugly as ST1300 site wings that cost 10 bucks to replace and what holds the bike up in a tip over. :blink:

The funny thing is that when I see those "bike down" pics all I can do is shake my head at the guy taking a pic of his bike on its side. Me? I'm getting her back onto the rubber ASAP! Maybe if I do it fast enough it'll be like it didn't happen.....
