I had some trouble with the rocker switch (not a toggle switch--it's flat and round) that comes with the dual star heated grips. The low position quit working and the hi position had intermittent operation. I have wired the switch directly to the heating elements (no relay as the elements only draw about 4 amps and the switch is rated at 6 amps).
I found that the switch can be taken apart (don’t even have to remove it from where ever it’s mounted). By prying off the rocker the contacts are exposed. These can be bent, filed and generally persuaded to start work again. The switch has been working for a few weeks now but I have lost confidence in its long-term reliability. Has anyone else had a problem with the switch?
