Saw this little gem in the local CL for Vancouver, WA:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/1831301650.html

$12,500

One of only a dozen built, this bike started life as an S2R 800 Monster before being converted by Overland Motorcycles in San Francisco (https://www.terramostro.com). Most were built from 695 Monsters, although I understand they recently built an 1100 for Jesse James . The entire front end is Honda XR650R, which has won innumerable Baja races, so it's plenty stout for this application. There are too many other details to list.

Oh My!

Hudson, the very least you Specific Northwet Guys could do is to kick some dinero into a fund to buy this beauty as a Christmas gift for Niehart! Can you just imagine the look of joy on Grandpa Dave's face as he unwraps his present on December 25th? Happy Noel!

fairly common --(well considering) to convert the monster into dual sport machines.

I believe this is the same bike you posted:

Here is a GsX-R conversion:

A while back on here on the forum there was a VERY cool SV-650 conversion posted ..I think it originated from the pashnit site(?). It had my imagination at the rev-limiter.

All these bikes are great fun IMO

The Duc looks pretty cool...

Here's another interesting conversion, a bit more extreme.

I don't remember if this was posted on this forum. If so, here it is again...

Go ahead, shift ta second...

You feelin' lucky?

:)
