Post number 99 and counting. Turns out, not surprisingly, that Duke was one of the most popular people on the forum. Hope that gives you a smile, Mark.
The outpouring of all the support on this forum has surley helped me through this time of grief & sadness. Duke always seemed to appreciate his life since my Pop saved him from a grim fate at the LA county pound. His legacy will be all the countless smiles he put on peoples faces. I'm glad I was able to put some on his face too!

I'm gonna miss that guy.

I will never forget the trip to Oregon for our vacation a few years ago.

Many miles logged with you and Duke.

Sorry to hear the news Marcus. I met you and Duke at the Toas meet a couple of years ago. Great pup. I always hoped I'd see him again.

Man, I don't have the words Marcus. I am so sorry for your loss. Duke was a great dog, and one hell of a buddy. I sure will miss seeing him and his presence on this forum.

Hang in there buckaroo.

Never Met Duke, I can see from all the post he was a loyal and handsome friend. I too lost my best friend of 15 years on the 27th. his name was Nixon, a Ridgeback mix. He was king of the neighborhood and a very loyal friend. My wife always complained "great, you come home from work and kiss the dog and kick the wife". It's amazing how much our pets give for so little in return. I raise a toast to your Duke and my Nixon, going to miss the hours of play , countless conversations and endless love.

It was a pleasure to have ridden with Duke around the mountians of Newer Mexico. I can't help but feel bad for your loss, I know whats it's going to be like when my little Jack Russel "Kelcey" passes, it's something I dread. You getting another "co-pilot" soon? I hope you do.

I'm so sorry Marcus and I'm right there with you. I had to put my 11 year old Golden down suddenly on December 5th. It's amazing how much they become part of you. RIP Duke!
