Was out today between monsoons just ride'n around with duke & stopped for lunch at camp beale. On the way back i cut through the hospital parking lot to make a right turn.

As I was go'n through the lot, I saw a woman in a powered weelchair coming towards us. I see this woman in the store across the street often. She has no arms or legs (I think she lives at the hospital)

I made a turn around & stopped so she could see duke, she asked if she could see the dog & I waved her over.

She asked if he bites (a common question people ask because they want to pet him) I said no he loves people & leaned the bike over so he could lick her face ( as she was sticking her chin out to do this) She said thank U & have a good day ride'n & off we went!

Ya never know how good ya got it untill ya see someone dealing with somethin like this!

My wife was out of town and I had to take the dog to the Summit Point SCCA races. She broke loose while I was working on the car and wondered off.

Found her under a MiniCooper licking the guys face while he was installing a transmission. I'm sure glad he was a dog person and wasn't pissed off. Had to clean the grease off her back before the wife got back.

I'm sure Duke made her day, good on him! When my son was 4 he ended up in a children's hospital for a week (he came out just fine) but seeing kids with life long problems really hits home hard.

Will I get to meet the world famous Duke at SWFOG?

Very strange. I've often offered to lick the faces of strange women, and have gotten totally different responses.
I hear ya, brother MJD!

Getting the **** slapped out of you is no fun unless you're both naked, huh? :D
Hey OM, put away the laptop and get back on your Feejer! You're really slowing down our morning Mosquito Ridge Ride!!! Bokerfork is getting pissed off! RsvlFeej is none too happy!

Isn't that the truth? I work at a Children's Hospital. Every single day, I count my blessings.

And being licked in the face by a friendly dog is definitely one of them!

when my 15yr old needed physical therapy on her knee, we went in two diff phases 2-3 times a week before school in the morning.

it was at New Orleans Children's Hospital. I am changed by observing some children with real life issues, their parents and caregivers, and maybe even more the therapists I met there.

It bring's new meaning to "don't sweat the small stuff" :clapping:

Cheers,

Mike
