Holy cow, with all the IBR stuff going on I forgot about my buddy Paul!

There must be something in the water in Oregon that makes people Stuuupid! That fool decided to collect the Phoenix area DB locations in the late afternoon when it is freaking HOT out and in the middle of rush-hour traffic. Here in Arizona, the sun fries our brains making us stuuupid, so I figured 'what the hell', I'll go meet him. Hell, it was only 105 degrees out.

Here is our intrepid traveler arriving at the 2nd Phoenix area location in Tempe:

On to the next location, also in Tempe. Now here, our boy did something right. A location very close to Arizona State University. Can you say coeds? Of course Paul couldn't help but talk a few cuties into a photo with him.

The young ladies just thought Paul was the Dog's Danglies for doing this little ride. In fact, they REALLY wanted him to come back to their dorm so they could spend some time with him learning all about it. I saw the gears spinning in poor Paul's head. For quite some time, I think this ride was dangerously close to being over. I guess it was just the heat. Here they are doing their best to talk him into a tour of their dorm.

But alas, disappointment was all that was available for our two poor lasses. Paul had do get back to the ride. I rode with him to one last location in southern Scottsdale.

Our adventurer doing his thing.

And from this location, I WENT HOME TO COOL OFF. While Paul was off to two more Phoenix area locations before taking the long hot trek across the desert to California. Better him than me. I told the bastard NEXT time he comes to my neck of the woods for a visit, do it in MARCH!

One last photo before he was off.

Hell of a ride. Hell of an adventure. Hell of a guy.

Ha, Arizona didn't burn more than a layer of green moss off his back. But really, it was good fun wasting some of his valuable time in Newberg. And he wasn't running late because he was BSn. He was starving for some IBR info. Paul thought it was very funny thinking what the IBR riders were thinking as he passed them Monday afternoon on I90 - going the wrong. A great guy!

And Dutch Treat is in the books. There's a video report here

Many thanks to Greg, Jerry, Ray and Dan for showing up at the stops and lifting my spirits. Nice to have some fellow LD guys joining in the fun. A special thanks to Karen for filling in for Dennis...something about another ride start in Seattle he needed to attend. I didn't catch the whole story ;)

Donations are still being accepted, of course. We'd appreciate the help.

And another bump to the top for a great cause. Paul did all the hard work, the least we can do is send a little PayPal coin to his charity. Come on folks, open those virtual wallets!
