Day 3 - 355 miles
This is the final day. We would travel from the east coast to the southern most tip of mainland Asia, which is on the west coast.
Started the day inspecting all the bikes. The resort we stayed in was the rendezvous point for our group and another group of 6 riders that I normally ride with. If you'd seen my other reports, you'll probably recognize some of the bikes and people
This particular bike, the Suzuki SV1000, will be a key character for most of the day today.
Versys is singular. Would the plural is Versi?
Of course, Dave and Sandra were here from Singapore too. Dave is on the gold Hayabusa and Sandra the white GSX-R 600. Our previous ride, Sandra was on a Triumph Street Triple. These were the guys that hosted us during the ride in Europe. This would be our last ride together as they will be moving back to Europe after staying 2 years in Singapore. Hope to ride again with them some time, although I don't know when..
If you're touring Malaysia on big bikes, most of the time, they will allow you to park right at the lobby.

We made our trek across the tip of the peninsula. Its about 111 miles from east to west coast. I lead the way but I made the mistake of letting the GPS choose the route and we wound up on what's probably the straightest road in Malaysia...
After an hour, we stopped here to get out of the hot sun.
Dave was having problems with his GoPro so took this time out to fiddle with it.
We continued our journey and would up at Tanjung Piai, southernmost tip of mainland Asia.
Tanjung Piai is a national park. Here is Hafizen (left), who is works with the Malaysian Tourism Ministry, along side the park's General Manager (center).
Motorcycles only
We continued our journey and were supposed to make our way up to Melaka to drop Dave and Sandra off, before we headed back to Kuala Lumpur, but we hit problems with the SV1000. During a rest stop, the bike wouldn't start. Turn the key, and nothing happened. No lights, no crank. Nothing.
Botak troubleshooting the problem - exchanging batteries with the ER-6f
End of the Day, Dave, Sandra, Feizal, and Apek went ahead while the rest stayed back to accompany Botak. It took us the rest of the day before we could get the bike running again, we cut short the rest of the day's riding activities.
So this is the last pic of Botak and his broke down SV1000.
