I didn't make it there this year, but one year when my Dad and I were riding around Wisconsin, we stumbled upon a non discript little restaurant in **** Valley. We were actually looking for a rib joint that had gone belly up. Starving, we went down the road and stopped at what, from the outside, looked like a hole in the wall place to eat. Inside, the tables had cloth linens, the wait staff well dressed and the food first rate. In previous CFO Rallys I've been back and not been disappointed. It's a place called DiSciascio’s, on the right as you enter **** Valley from La Crosse. This year, I was too much of a light weight to ride up there in the rain when I got to the hotel. Not the cheapest place around, but I felt a decent value for great Italian food. Just my two cents worth for anyone who happens to be in the area or around for CFO 2012. :Snorkle: :bike:

So is this going to be a thread for good places to eat in that area??
Hey, Why not? I plan on going up there more often than just the rally. Can only take so much corn and straight roads (Illinois). "The Hungry Peddler" was a pretty good meal too. If anyone knows of decent places to stay in the general area, please post up too. I plan on riding up in the next month or two to tour the "Pearl Street Brewery", see House on the Rock and Cave of the Mounds.

This monstrosity was spotted at Heroes Bar in the motel..

Two half pound burgers, two brats split in half, cheese, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese fries..

If you eat it in less than 15 minutes it's free, plus you get a tee shirt and your name on some type of plaque. :dribble:

Sorry about the crappy shot. It was a national enquirer moment

Serious food **** Roger!!! :dribble:

Might better be careful posting up them shots, you may get arrested :p
Ban me if you must, but I gotta share.

And then there was the post-rally chow!!!

Bust forced us to eat at a Casey's, so his culinary judgment is in question. His wardrobe and "partner", not so much. Where's the sheep emoticon?
