Nice. One has to want to get to Carbonado. Grew up in that state and when I was knocking out visiting the last cities I hadn't been to...that one was way out there.

I notice that you have a material on the upper fairing in case of an oops, is that Techspec? I trfied enlarging but cannot make out exactly what you have done. I looked on the Techspec site but I did not see a product like that. Any hints?

Dodger, that's photo light/dark spot. There is nothing on the fairing. I do have Techspec on the tank and the top of the bags.

On a side note, that Techspec is good stuff. I have moved it from FJR to FJR. The center piece on the tank has been on 3 FJR's.

Wow, that is beautiful country, and that bridge is awesome.
What a difference in design and styling of your 2015 compared to my 2003. Curious about that pillion storage compartment. Nifty. Who makes it?

Thanks, I also have the Techspec and highly recommend it. Certainly stick better than the Yamaha luggage badges!

That road was built in 1921. We used to drive out to the end of the road up to Ipsut Creek campground to picnic and/or camp when I was a kid. I took my kids camping there when they were young in the late 80's. The road washed out around 2006, was repaired and washed out again around 2011. Due to aggradation the river bed had risen high enough to make rebuilding the road unfeasible. I rode up there a few years ago on my FJR. You can only go about 2 miles past the Carbon River Ranger Station to where they closed the road. You can cross over to the Carbon River and get on NF-7810 but that's not a good FJR road. Better in a Jeep!
