Russian Gaza engine guards. Like he said, instructions are more like a packing list. They went on easily, with a few parts left over.Minor quibble... I can't get a funnel in to fill the oil anymore, I had to use a funnel with a hose on the end of it.

By the looks of that alternator cover, I think you might be closing the barn door when Daisy is already out and down the road. ;)

Personally, I think the bag guards and sliders make it easier for the bike to roll over farther when dropped at low speeds -- and that leads to broken mirror stays and crunched fairings.
Don't get 'em.
Well, I can personally vouch for having T-rex guards. I did a tip over coming to a quick stop on a banked downhill right turn. I went to put my foot down on the right and nothing was there. The bike went over and the wife got tossed over the guard rail. The only damage was my pride and some light scratches on the edge of the windscreen which hit the guard rail. The mirrors were not even close to the ground.

They were worth every penny that I paid for them just in that one instance.

I'm gonna give you that "previous owner" story on that one. Just this morning I noticed the back of my mirror is scraped up too. Just finished repainting one saddlebag from scuffs that were there when I bought it.

Was the wife damaged? Certainly not happy.

Well, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, and yesterday was the day. I was pulling into a dirt lot to position my bike for a Tag-o-Rama photo op and the dirt was softer than it looked. Front wheel tucked and down she went on the left side for the first time (only on this one).

I am here to report that the T-Rex engine and luggage guards worked perfectly. I was able to somewhat slow the fall, and the guards landed in the dirt which prevented any scratches on the guards themselves. The bike only tipped until the guards touched down, and did not roll over any further. The bike itself received not a single scratch, and it sat at an angle that made the lifting back up ( with my back to the bike) much easier than my 05 with just sliders and without the guards.

Two thumbs up for the T-Rex guards!!!
