Hi brothers from other mothers !!

when i start the bike ans live it 4 minute to get hot , the engine look like it's coughing !! but not all the time , just when i get the bike after 3 days or such

it coughs one time or 2 times , and then nothing , but is not easy to explain

does it have a problem ? or is just a dilatation of some parts ?

the beast has 58 K miles

thanks guys

Set HOT fast idle to 1100 RPM, COLD idle is about 1400.

2 separate screws and may effect each other.

The cold, fast, screw is under the throttle bodies, very awkward to access a long 16" screwdriver

The normal fast idle is under the RHS fairing vent panel.

Try a site specific google search then look at the pictures.

Try a search term like cold idle screw site:fjrforum.com and plug the term into google search bar, ten have a look at the threads OR pictures

Fairly normal behaviour.

It's an occasional misfire, probably caused because Yamaha run the engine as weak as possible.

It sounds bad because it rattles the transmission backlash.

Nothing to worry about.
