Engine parts color

Howdy folks,

Does anybody have a color reference for this metallic gray used by Mama Yama for engine parts?

IIRC the FJRowners forum had an engine paint thread. Don't recall if a good sub was discovered or not though.

That looks like a standard medium gray metallic, a common auto touchup color.

Stef, about 3 months ago someone did post on it, but I think its hidden in one of the paint threads, not listed under "engine paint". Of course, I wasn't wise enough to write it down (with the other important info I record on the inside cover of my manual), Doh!

IIRC, it is one of the colors available over the counter at the auto supply stores here in the US. Should be the same for you guys....the little "rattle-cans" you can buy to touch up your automobile.

Passing on what PAFJR wrote some time ago:

Engine case touch up paint is avalable from (Color Rite). The metallic charcoal grey color is listed under the 2005 FJR1300, Yamaha paint code OWN, Circuit Silver Metallic, Engine Case Color, Color Rite #5319.
