Wow...it was a beautiful fall day here in SE PA. Took a nice long 'perfect' ride. One of those nirvana moments that's rare these days.

I haven't put the miles on the bike this summer I was hoping to, but after a couple thousand miles I'm really feeling comfortable now. I was even following a couple harleys for a bit wishing they'd step it up. My only minor gripe has been the handlebar buzz. With the grip puppies and the gloves it didn't bother me at all today.

Just wanted to mention a little about the seat height. I'm 6-3 and when I first got the bike I tried it in the raised position for a short ride and didn't seem to like it. Today I tried it again for a longer ride and noticed I actually felt better balanced. I would think the opposite with a higher COG.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice again. I'm trying to take advantage of this weather before it turns. I'll try to snap some pics.

You're right, it was a great day and supposed to be a nice weekend.

I live in Denver, Pa also and plan to put some miles on this weekend.

Going to check out the fall foliage and some of my favorite roads in Northern Pa.

There's some great rides here in southern California, and we get to ride all year around, but we sure don't get the wonderful color changes that you guys get to the east of us. Enjoy it while you can Nate.

I'd have to agree with Nate, I have put more miles in a short amount of time on this bike than any other bike I've owned before. The Fam got upset because I was spending too much time with her ;)

The So Cal guy is right, we get to ride year around. I'm on vacation in NJ now and going to DC tomorrow. The weather is wonderful; sure wish I had my FJR now instead of my rental car. I saw a black FJR today in Brigantine NJ and was envious.

Greetings from the north (of PA, that is..........),

My God, man!! Those Harleys should have seen nothing but a raven black flash as you whooooshed by them in a instantaneous flash!!

My only minor gripe has been the handlebar buzz. With the grip puppies and the gloves it didn't bother me at all today.
Weird, I've never noticed any handlebar buzz. I wondered why people put those grip puppies on.

For me, the stock grips are fine. I don't like fatter grips myself.

I like the higher seat position because its less strain on my knees (and I'm only 5-10). At first I went back and forth trying to notice any compromise in handling. I couldn't notice any. It's always in the higher position now.

Enjoy!!

Following harleys...Heresy!

I passed at least 10 v-twins today, and at least two tried to keep up with me...lol

One harley went WOT when I was safely trying to pass him ( I could hear the paint shaker screaming for air) and I still zipped by him like he was parked on the side of the road.

Harley Hunting is like shooting fish in a barrel...but still fun..lol
