This post took it over the edge with poltical crap. https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...st&p=373811 That's far past the limit. Combined with https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=100403&hl= and you're treading on thin ice.
Also, you really need to start posting less off-topic and more about FJRs.

Ignacio
Why would this need to be sent in a PM and not on a public thread?

See how quick you can respond to this before this thread gets locked as well. Or maybe it will get removed completely just in case there is something funny in it. God forbid anyone should laugh......oops religeon.

Also, you really need to start posting less off-topic and more about FJRs.
Why have an off topic section then if you don't like people using it? I have other stuff going on in my life than just an FJR.
I might lurk for a while but I wont be posting again in the forseeable. What a shame such a great meeting place for people with one thing in common has to be wrecked by one person's opinion of how the world should be run.

If you're looking for support, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. Glad to see you admit that this is a place for people with "ONE THING" in common. Hard to understand why you get so bent when an admin privately suggests you post more about that one thing. I think the fact that you would post a PM....from an admin, nonetheless....says all that needs to be said.

See ya....

Why would you do this? There's set policy about publicly posting PM's. Besides, maybe he is trying to get you to recognize that you are pushing the limits in a polite, professional, personal manner and not publicly.

I thought you were going to leave? You don't like being called on a political thread that's fine, but don't try and drag the board into it as you're exiting the building. I'll leave this thread open since you don't seem to be leaving after all.

You also really should have read Important Information for New Users on the subject of warnings as most of your questions are already answered including why it's handled privately.

.....oh, and bad form sharing private messages. I'm an admin and can take it....and it was a PM via the warning system.....but sharing that stuff is not looked favorably upon around these parts.

Why have an off topic section then if you don't like people using it? I have other stuff going on in my life than just an FJR.
Because we expect people will follow the spirit and intent of the very first sentence of the guidelines.

This forum is to discuss the Yamaha FJR1300 and the issues surrounding the FJR1300 community.
We expect people to be reasonable and post occasionally to off-topic, jokes, etc. instead of almost all the time like you do. We don't want to shut down those threads for everybody else just because you can't seem to get this simple point.

Here it is simply:

  • Don't post about politics
  • Post more about FJRs
Good night Gracie.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of the 'not posting PM's' rule.

The reason I did, was that, (if you follow the links you will plainly see), they are both attempts at humour, not politics. What has pissed me off, yet again, is the usual knee-jerk over-reaction to my posts. Like I said, enough is enough for now at least.

Ciao chaps.

Feejer,

With all respect, you're like the moth that can't resist flying into the flame.

First with continually posting so much off topic after being nudged, warned etc...

then of course your open invitation to be dogpiled "why do my posts get pounced on?"

political posts

posting PM's

and now multiple posts to say good bye (this one and the other ... if anyone needs me, i'm at)

It's comical at this point. STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD. The sad part is that you are probably a great guy who has a passion for motorcycles and are just over-using the forum to fulfill needs that should be filled, in part, elswhere.

Perhaps if you take a self-imposed break, you will be able to return with newfound clarity and appreciation of what the FJRforum is and is not.

Feejer222,

Although I agree with your points at poking humor into things (for I am much the same way), I have also learned that our views have a HUGE tendency to be turned inside out and seen as though we're pointing out the errors of others. Personally, I think our skin is thicker than most; nonetheless, we must learn to be (to use a feminine term) more sensitive towards the majority. For me, I've learned (well kinda anyway) to just not respond to the minor undercurrents that could explode with the thought of an illegitimate word. This is an FJR forum and our words should reflect as such. I imagine there are political forums that would embrace your thoughts and be able to have fun with them (like minded people). But this is primarily a forum for motorcycle enthusiasts. And as such, I am inclined to agree with the admins.

Hope to see you around…if not, best wishes.

Feejer - Like Malve said, just take a break for a while, come back, and avoid the things that have caused this flap. I, for one, enjoy motorcycle racing, and you bring valuable knowledge in that area.

Besides a "Quote of the Week" section, we also need another new area of the forum.................

"5th Grade Girl Drama Queen Topic of the Week".

*** No offense was intended or implied to any actual 5th grade girl Drama Queens.
