Got about 65 miles on in a quick run down a road with some high speed sweepers in Kentucky and West Virginia after work today. All I can say is - "Holy Sh*t! What a freakin' machine!" Nope, don't need to say anything else. My wife asked how was the ride and all I could do was smile.

I can't believe none of you called me and told me how much fun this bike was before now.

Seriously, I've wanted an FJR since they first came out. What a dream bike!

And for the really serious stuff...thank you all so much for your kind words and wishes for my niece's recovery. God Bless you all!

If you drop your oil right now your gonna find a silver glow in it! ( nothin like fresh aluminum casting! ) I changed mine right about 200mi. I wouldn't wait for the first 600 - and filter every change. That goes for the rear gears too. A little insurance goes a long way. Good luck. :yahoo:

These are to fun to tell your wife about. I always worry I will get carried away with the speed and handling. I know there are faster bikes but not that many. By the way it was cataract surgery. My doctor said I had cataracts and I though he said the other and I told him no I got a couple of jeeps.
