"...so he loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly..."

Ya know, after 11 years of living in LoCal with it's balmy 'winter' weather, and even as much as I love snow, there's no ******' way I would move back to snowy New England or anywhere else snow and ice fly. Enjoy that stuff, folks. Don't forget to pre-warm your muclucs! :p

No ****!!! Why do we even have meteorologist as a profession?? I had put a nice 300 mile trip together with my buddies for Sunday, which was supposed to be 60 and sunny…turned out to be 40 and freezing rain!!! Damn it. I need to get outta here….and ride!

Yeah, its a *****, isn't it! You guys in the PNW are just spoiled. Current conditions in central Iowa: 15 degrees and freezing drizzle, forecast low tonight: 6 degrees. I can't get enough of it, so I'm driving to Colorado tomorrow (yeah, 4 wheels, but reality has to intrude sometimes). Your weather will warm up long before mine does.

Yes it will, be riding March first at the latest. 80 days left.

Some of you funny men just don't get it. Cold isn't the issue. At all. I've ridden to work when it's 5-degrees F. Even a little snow is not a huge concern.

It's the brain-dead fucktwits in a cage that's the problem.

You are referring to those rain-soaked *******s on the wet side of the Cascades. Here in the High Desert of southeastern Washington, we have cold that will rival anything you got. Nightly temps in the teens is the routine during gnarly winters (like this one is shaping up to be). Usually when it gets that cold, it doesn't really snow that much. Not today, however. :glare:

I look at it like this...winter keeps us safe from the approaching killer bees and fire ants!!!!!! So just wait, in 100 years I will have the last laugh!!!

Add Ga to the list of the banned. Was in the 70's here in NW Ga all weekend. Wife and I went on a nice 80 mile run on Saturday after picking up around daughter formt he airport (home from college for xmas break) and then today, my father and I went for a nice ride in some twisties.

To be honest, I'd like to see the rain they were getting in Washington or even some of that damn white stuff. Anything that will add back ot the water levels here. So box that **** up and send it down and I'll box up since warm weather to send back.

Hey!

I resent that remark! Well ok, maybe it's true...

Took my week worth of personal days last week and was going to head down to Hollister, CA, but couldn't get down I-5 cause it was flooded! :angry2:

Absolutely gorgeous weekend here!

But I was stuck working, moving a 56-node network from ancient Netware 4 to a couple of new W2K3 servers. 18 printers, apps ranging from accounting, CAD and desktop publishing to plain ol' MS-Office. Oh, yeah. By myself. They gave me a key and a list of users and passwords.

So screw all you fellow southerners out riding this weekend!!!!

Done any hilly overpasses lately...

Typical DC wx here. Snow last week and foggy 40s today.

Of course, all that salted run-off is just SO good for electrical connectors and aluminum, right?

Scuse me while I go find my can of ACF-50 spray.

Bob

Blame global warming... You might get a Nobel prize for your efforts...

Been lied to? YUP! Last weekend the friendly weatherman told us that we would get 6" of snow (we never get 6" of snow in early December). Well that weatherman was right with the exception that there was a 2 in front of the 6...yup 26" over 24 hours. I HATE SNOW! I already paid my dues living in Alberta.

And yes, I just finished shovelling out the driveway when the snow plow came through and blocked the driveway with a 4' berm of crusty, lumpy snow. Did I tell you I hate snow?

AND I miss riding my bike!

I thought all the canuckians already had their toques on and were playing each others pucks :)

Will the Admins. please ban all members from Cali. until late March / Early April 08 !!
Woof!

That way, at least I could get some farkling done....Every time I go near the thing, I hear that siren song from the sunny twisties that start about ten miles from here and go all the way to Nevada.

It is a *****....today's local paper actually forecasts "Brilliant sunshine" for tomorrow. WTF is that? Really smart light?
