It's the BBC coverage so it starts off about James Toseland, then goes on to Rossi and others. Race starts at the 30 minute mark.

Don't forget to click on the little square in the corner to go to full screen.

Anyone remember Steve Parrish? He was Sheenes best mate and wore his leathers and helmet once and qualified for him as Sheene was too hung over. Known as a major practical joker.

Thanks, but some of us are on the wrong side of the pond for this:

Sorry, this programme is only available to play in the UK

Rights agreements mean that BBC iPlayer television programmes are only available to users to download or stream (Click to Play) in the UK. However, BBC Worldwide is working on an international version, which we will make available as soon as possible.

BUGGER! Didn't read that. Sorry guys.

The Suzi Perry link is worth a look. She is the interviewer, she has been involved with bike racing shows for years and knows her stuff.

We're just f**ked over here. And in the mean time, we have to dance around trying not to learn who made the podium so we can enjoy it when it finally does come out somewhere, sometime.... :(

I am surprised to be honest. I would have thought you would have it all available over there. I suppose we are spoilt. Does it reflect the popularity? We get 30,000 to a BSB round and up to 120,000 at the GP. I guarantee you it will be that or more this year with JT featuring. I can see it being a lock-out.

It is not popular, no. With the Indy 500 venue they are trying to popularize it, but Speed Channel doesn't seem to understand how to play along.

Yesterday I was walking with my wife, Fang, lamenting having missed MotoGP, and how you Euro-Brits have access and are huge fans. I hypothesized that it was because here motorcycling is a weekend hobby, and that in Europe and Britain it is that but much more, a daily way to get around, tour.... Am I right?

Perhaps DMG can change the perception of road racing in this country with their takeover of marketing / promotion of the AMA. Then maybe, just maybe, there will be more interest in MotoGP as well.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But I sure love the sport. I just wish more folks did.

I guess so, We (me & the missis) only ride at weekends, but there are lots of bikes on the road during the week. Come to think of it there are many more out on a sunny weekend that probably dont come out during the week. From what I have read on here a lot of you folks comute on your bikes, and have much better weather to do it in.

Racing is even more popular in Spain and Italy and makes the headlines in the national press. We grumble constantly that the sport doesn't get the recognition that it deserves here.

A point that I would make (without being bitchy), is that the Speed coverage that we watched of the Daytona race seemed very amateurish. I don't know if its because we are used to a different style, but it was lacking in information and detail from begining to end.

Over here they tell you what the riders had for breakfast and which notch he has the rear-sets on...well almost. It would be good if you could get to see a race shown on Eurosport, I can't imagine it much better. I am sure that this has something to do with how many people watch it.

Just watched Liverpool knock Inter Milan out of the European cup (Played in Italy). Who did they zoom in on in the crowd?....Velentino! The English soccer pundits didn't have a clue who he was!

You're right. I'm not impressed either. When you look at how much info is provided for (here we go again) NASCRAP it's amazing that we (Moto road racing) don't get even a fraction of that info. Sucks.

Yes, that would be VERY cool. Not likely, but cool.

Ding Ding Ding! That's it really. Again, I sure hope that DMG can do for AMA road racing what the France family has done for NASCRAP in the last ten years. Maybe then there will be a larger audience and more TV sponsorship money so that we can have those cool bells and whistles. <fingers crossed>

I'm really going to try to watch more of it this year. Last year I prolly caught half of the MotoGP races. The coverage does blow...esp after seeing a Nascar race in high def with 30 camera angle, graphics everywhere, and neat info. To bad though its still boring to me. Id love to see a race in HD and well produced. This year I will be attending MotoGP in Indianapolis and cant wait!!!

No MotoGP for this kid, but I will be attending two AMA Superbike races and one WSBK race.

Good times.

Sounds good guys. Keep going to thise live rounds.

We usually do most of the BSB rounds and try and fit in one of the WSBK rounds, (we host the 'European' round as well as the British round). The GP is a great spectacle, but way too crowded. The circuit is usually full to bursting and this year I fully expect a lock-out with Toseland featuring.

I have seen plenty live and will be more than happy to sit in front of my big new telly and watch. It looks like being one of teh best years ever from a Brit point of view. Even if you are not Brit the GP looks like it will be a great series with some great battles......for second place. I remember watching Stoner get carried off after high-siding a 125 at the goose neck at Cadwell Park, what seems like a long time ago. I think he was 15 then.

All the noise last year about it being the bike that was fast and not him. Look at his team mate (Mellandri?) on the same bike finishing 40 seconds behind him and in the last 3rd. What a rider Stoner is. I think we need to be satisfied with the race for 2nd for the next few years. I hope we don't look back in 10 years and say JT could have been champion if not for Stoner. A bit like Mamolla and Roberts. I like Mamolla, met him a couple of times back in the day, nice guy loads of time for everyone. Always felt sorry for him in Roberts shadow. He has been the pit lane guy on Eurosport for years now. He is usually funny, quite often gets his words muddled in excitement, but is always informative. 3 Seasons ago he wore a series of silly wigs and didn't say a word, niether did any of the other members of the commentary team. It was all pre-organised, every time he was spotted on pit lane he had different coloured hair. Hillarious.
