Planned rides fri-sat-sun this year, so show up thursday evening for maximum ride time!!!

We didn't see much of our room last year, so it does not matter much.

Warm water and no roaches are my only requirements.

Minibar fridges can come in handy though.

It was obvious that Tally Ho was nice but not big enough.

Weekend after labor day seems to be O.K.

If anyone has a route idea, I'd be happy to plug it into MS Streets so a map&directions can be posted on the web.

I wouldn't have a clue how to "host a web site" but I know I don't have anywhere remotely close to the amount of time that Jonathan (Smthng) put into it last year so I'm out on that, but I do plan on soliciting something for the "door prizes" from my dealer

I'm going to Boone next weekend to check out the hotel and make final arrangements with them.

As far as I'm planning, it's going to be the weekend of Sept. 8,9,10th, with planned rides and such all three days!

That means show up on the evening of the 7th and leave the morning of the 11th.

Website can be hosted here with no problems, and I was going to get that rolling soon too.

Hello everyone ,,

I have been kind of under the weather for a couple of ticks ,, so I am just catching up to what is happening,,

I live in Roanoke Va ,, and know the roads from here to 421 very well ,, I think the Boone site would be great !! quick access to many a twisy road ,, Shady Valley > Damascus is one great ride up and back ,, 221 from Roanoke to 58 is a very nice ride with the exception of going through Hillsville ,,

there are Ski Resorts all over the Boone area ,, I happen to like the Banner Elk side ,, but thats just me!!,,

Travis ,, I would help in any event planning you need ,, I think I might be able to get my local dealership to sponsor some giveaway stuff as well as my good buddy at Motorcycle Trends in Roanoke ,, he does a lot of wholesale stuff for me ,,

also ,, lets check out what is happening at VIR ,, can you say,," track day"

also for anyone comming through Roanoke by way of the BRP I would sponsor a

R&R station at one of the overlooks or camp sites during the prime time ride through ,, it's just a couple of hrs to Boone for me straight down the Parkway ,, or I could provide some maps for ""through the countryside"" riding ,,

not tryin to take over Travis ,, just want to lend a helping hand ,,

BTW I am doing a SS/BB to WFO/National in August ,,, so September is great for me

Galxy5: I've love some help scouting rides and such like that. You probably know the north/eastern sides of boone better than I do, I'm more familair with the sections between banner elk and boone, and west of there.

I actually drove up there yesterday, as my girlfriend had some things she needed to do there early this week. Depending on my work schedule this weekend, I'd love to ride/drive up there anyway! If the weather's nice, I could ride the bike up to damascus, and we could ride down in to Boone from there.

Keep me posted on what you're planning to do. I'm working nights at the moment, but this week is supposed to be the last. I'll probably be drained all day saturday, but I might be day-walking again by sunday.

I am looking at the weather also ,, if it's half way nice I'm out on the road for sure ,, sunny and very windy here today ,, but ok to ride with some cold weather gear ,, my plan for the weekend was to leave Saturday and to watch the Denver game somewhere Sunday nite ,,, I have to be back to lead VTech students toward the true meaning of depravity Monday evening ,,, not that it takes much effot on my part !!!!

looks like my plans were just changed ,, Saturday I will be attending the funeral in Ashville for Warrant Officer 03 Carver who was KIA in Iraq ,, I am a member of the Patriot Guard Riders ,, I guess I will overnight in Ashville and blast home on Sunday morning ,,

maybe next weekend I can make it down ,, Friday or Saturday

I just got home from the local dealer ,, checking out the new Roadliner ,, mine will be here in March Yippie!!! they will donate some Yamaha givaways as well as setting up an R&R ,, food & drink stop at the dealership on Thursday and/or Friday ,, they are just min from the BRP,11,24,221,220,460 and 81 ,,

a natural stop from any direction !!
