That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

These maps are great.

I'll PM you when we're 100% sure about the routes we're doing.....right now I'm only 85% sure. I don't want you to have to do extra work.

Thanks....I'll 'cha know.

Fantastic routes - thanks to all involved for all the work you put into these!

I would like some help picking the 3 highest fun factor routes of the 7. I know this is very subjective, but I would like the opinion of those who know the area.

Cheers,

Bob in Memphis

It is a garmin nuvo model number I don't remember.

SOL on that one, a good unit, but you can't upload routes to a Nuvi.
My Garmin Nuvi 500 is up-loadable.

I have no idea how to decide either.....

RockMurph, are you using MapSource?

Also, your post above indicates you use a Nuvi...does it support Route Downloads (my old one didn't).

I'm not sure who is coordinating the rides, but if there's anyone that's wants a local to lead a medium to fast paced ride through either route 1 or 2, I would be more than happy to. I live on NC 80 about 10 miles north of the BRP. I ride these roads all the time and try to work in every true back road I can. I'm kinda selective about the road surface ( yeah I'll ride goat paths when they serve a purpose) but I prefer the nice pavement. There's lots of turns piecing these roads together, but it's well worth it.

I don't know the protocol, so I'm just throwing this out there. If there's no interest, I'll ride a north western loop I've not yet ridden.

How the hell can a Stanley boy be 10 miles north of BRP?!!! Hell, I'm from Dallas and I know where Stanley is.
