Son Seth and DaddyDon are train nuts, we enjoy train excursions and drag Miss Donna along with us. Plus we collect LGB, Lionel and have a 'N' layout.
Do you previous EOM types/W.V. Locals have good info on any of these train excursions listed below, Donna and I want to ride one of them while at EOM.

West Virginia Tourist Train Association

Cass Scenic Railroad

Potomac Eagle

Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad

Hocking Valley Scenic Railway

Kentucky Railway Museum

Whitewater Valley Railroad

Mountain State Railroad & Logging Historical Association

There are no bad WV train experiences.

Here are a couple you have not mentioned: https://mountainrailwv.com/

Cass Scenic Railroad is generally considered the quintessential WV train experience. The trip to the top (Bald Knob) is stupendous. They sometimes offer a guided tour of the repair shop that by itself is worth the trip if you arrive early and ask.

Shoot, howd ya miss me. I will be in attendance along with the wify also. 2 up.
Dave (08FJR4ME)
Uh Dave Dude, you were already on the list: Between Canuckistani Ray and Phil Jet 09! "Dave? Dave's not here Man!" - Cheech and Chong

Ok, how did you come up with that list? You're very talented. Is there some sort of registation page that I missed? I know one other person that is attending & he isn't on that list.

Speaking of my being an Alcoholic, my PNW Buddy Fontanaman Jim talked me in to towing my boat to WV behind the BMW M3!

Since there will be a handful of Canadians attending will you be restocking the boat after breakfast?

Hey guys, I'm Syd, and I'm coordinating the Fall Colors rally for the MSTA. There is a really neat little distillery in Lewisburg called the Smooth Ambler Distillery. I was up there this weekend to check things out (and buy a couple of bottles), and I went by to chat with them. They offer four different bourbons, Gray Goose quality vodka, the smoothest dark rum I've ever tasted, and excellent gin. I have set up a tasting for our group about 5:30 Sat. evening (after hours). I cannot send you a formal invitation, because we are AMA insured, and you guys are not. I can tell you that we are doing this, and I would guess that their philosophy at the distillery is " the more the merrier", so I'm just letting you know what's going on! Google Smooth Ambler Distillery for information. I look forward to meeting a lot of you in September.

I know rooms are tight, and they always are all over Lewisburg. I traveled up there this past weekend to check things out, and couldn't even stay at the QI. They were booked solid, as was every other hotel in the area that fell into my price range. I ended up staying at the Village Inn in White Sulphur Springs. It's only 7 miles down 64, and there's a kick-*** restaurant a short walk down the street. It's within shouting distance of the the famous Greenbrier, but the accomodations are vastly different! The people are great, but the very clean rooms are spartan. there is tv and wifi though. Good luck! Syd

I just booked my room at the Quality INN, they said so far only 13 had booked vs the 50 that were being held. I thought they were sold out?

Don,I would like to be known as Tom today. I'm feeling a little feminine today...
Something is going on here at our Fine FJR Forum lately, I got an email from HotRodzilla: AJ said he would like to be known as Angelina Jolie! JSNS, AC-DC!
