Just made my reservation. Last EOM I attended was in 2008. Long overdue. Will be looking for other FL riders heading up on the 21st that I can meet up with for the ride up.

I've had an idea, so let me throw it out there.

I really miss BeemerDon and his posts here. I first met him at last year's EOM, and was surprised to meet a demure man. Seeing his posts on here, I was expecting a boisterous kind of guy. I happened to stay in the next room to him, and while outside smoking a cigar, he came out asking if I would help him. He needed help putting a back-shelf in his M3, and after doing it, I could see why he needed the help, as it was a PIA. I felt good, knowing I helped a fellow member, but more so because it was Don.

Anyway, I thought what a better way to remember him at this year's EOM, than by having a Ugly Hawaiian Shirt contest at the banquet. I know Wayne has plenty on his plate, so I don't want to add anymore. So I thought we could bring the prizes ourselves, say, for 1st-3rd? I have a never used tailbag from RoadGear that I could bring (it's the red/black, for you '14 owners) https://roadgear.com/euro-sport-jumbo-hauler-p-72.html . I'm sure some here have something that could be given out as a prize too, that would be worthwhile.

So what do you all think of this idea?

I don't own one, either... but have a few thrift stores in the vicinity.

Dang, it's too late now, but my grandfather (with a sense of humor that would make Don look like a duffer) had an absolutely magnificent Hawaiian shirt. At 30 feet the shirt could visually stun

, leaving the brain trying to figure out what the eyes were seeing, but at the same time you could feel the warm sun and feel the tropical breezes while the processor was sorting out the visuals. I have **no idea** where a substance farmer in central Missouri that never left the farm found a shirt like that one. Anyhoo, I'll be looking for one like it to wear at EOM this year. 100% of the rest of the time he wore dull, worn-out gray Dickey work shirts and matching gray pants, the only way you could tell he had more than one set was by the differing locations of holes and stains.

Holy flashback Friday, Batman!!!! I remember buying that shirt - Annette was livid "you are not buying that!" and that turned into "you are not wearing that shirt (again) are you??"

I think I might just have a slightly "loud" shirt or three in the closet; excellent idea for a tribute to Don!

You'll have a helluva time talking Wayne into participating...
