I have the route descriptions from Jim Meadows and I'll be creating GPX route files for uploading and PDF files for printing this weekend. Should have them posted by Monday.
If for some reason I fail to meet the deadline, Heidi will fire me and get someone more competent to Git-R-Done.

Recently torn out sections of wall in my house and installed new floors this past weekend. I should have a place to sit down at the computer and work by this coming weekend. At least I finally found another use for those kneepads besides begging a woman for forgiveness.

:)

Jeff
After 44 years of being hitched, I don't even need kneepads anymore!

Jim
So did she just get used to your **** or did she just stop caring?
He doesn't have to appologize anymore. After 44 years, she knows he's sorry.

Both maps and gps files are being planned. Once the files are up, I plan on asking each individual to print their own mapping. Otherwise, one of us would be taxed with printing 6 routes for something like 110 bikes. In light of that, I plan on asking each person to print their own info. I will definitely let you know when the info is up & ready for downloading from the website.

THANX - I've discovered that I am now totally dependent on GPS - can't remember how I navigated without it. Although I still carry a full set of paper maps, I now also lug around a laptop. GPS just makes touring so convenient.

Hey Heidi, if we don't get the Tazewell to Marion section of Rt 16 shame on us for 6 weeks... :D
Hey Marty, w/o looking at the mapping, I'd say that it's a pretty sure thing. I am acutely aware of how good Rte16 is... as is Jim. He was the 1st to take me on it.

Just doing my part keeping those fine folks in business keeping us fine folks on the road! :D

Me you also too! I'll be on a bigger reddish colored bike so you may see me more often... Sally on the back makes little difference the FJR is a terrific ride. I mentioned to Heidi I am on my 3rd rear and 2nd front tire. Bike is 4 months old yesterday and I have almost 12,000 miles on it. :yahoo:

Back to subject - like tires and oil, I have never met a WV road I didn't like. I did Rt 219 2 weeks ago from Peterstown WV to Wilcox, PA, nearly 500 miles of 800 mile day, on my way back from Myrtle Beach. Fine road, a few vacationers looking for a port to dock their big barges, a couple of the right-handers did have some rocks, but still some nice twisties.

Hey WV is all good! Anything between Morgantown and War will not disappoint. Only one or two LEO's, one we passed at about 65 but we were leaned over pretty good so I don't think he saw us..

We are looking forward to our first FJR owner's rally with our first FJR. It will be nice to meet all of you!

Jeff, I'm leaving from Memphis for points north on Sept 3. I really hate to bug you, but is there any chance of getting the gpx files (or any file format for that matter) by Sept 2, as I'm not bringing a computer, so I won't have a way to load them into my GPS unit after departure. Thanks!

I plan to bring my laptop to EOM. If you need to load routes to your GPS make sure you bring your USB cable. I plan on getting there on Thursday evening.

Jeff - I already have one of Jim's loaded, I'll email the file to you so we don't duplicate efforts.
