Escort Solo/Mixit2

I've hooked up my new Mixit2 to my XM radio and all is good. Wifey and I will have tunes for the upcoming trip. However, when I plug in my Solo S2, I can't hear it beep. I've run it by itself and can barely hear it with both the S2 and the Mixit turned up all the way.

Anybody else run this setup? Is the Solo S2 just too underpowered to power thru the Mixit?

I have a escort 9500, 550 with xm and, some times, my phone.

The Escort in plugged into the hole just above the power plug-in. [i have to turn the escort down or it breaks my ear drums.]

I skip the next hole and plug the Zumo/XM into the third hole up.

When I plug the phone in, I use the hole about the Zumo which is the top side hole. [Most of the time I just run the phone through the Zumo.]

Lately I have just plugged my big ears headset into the speaker jack on the top, rather than using blue-tooth.
