Traditionally motorcycles haven't come from the factory with "official" OEM options. I think to begin a trend in this direction would begin to turn the motorcycle market into another automobile dealership controlled sales game. Once the dealers are forced to compete by providing OEM options, they'll begin to order bike models "loaded up" and the manufacturers will begin producing motorcycles where the purchaser is left with no option other than the prewired OEM set-up. Are you trying to turn the FJR into another Goldwing with different levels of accoutrement? In doing so are you trying to hinder a buyers ability to strike a good deal...or are you trying to give the manufacturer license to increase the weight because of added ciruitry, fuses, etc.?
I say, "Leave it well enough alone!"
There is nothing on my bike that I can't modify to my personal choice whether mirrors to see around my "wide body" or any variance of throttle lock/cruise control. I can install a separate electrical panel/fuse holder and add any electrical devices I deem necessary for my style of riding (heated gear, switched and unswitched powerlet sockets, hard wired radar detector and GPS, swtich controlled autocom and Gerbing controllers, etc., etc., etc.). Or, as many owners already do: Ride the bike as delivered with no farkles!
Yamaha isn't your mother so they are not prepared to present a motorcycle that can be all things to all people. They do, however, build a very nice platform on which I can build a bike to parameters that fulfill my desires and modify the bike to fit my physical/personal needs and desires.
