I like to be able to open it so as to access the garage door opener as I approach, if I don't have the tankbag on. Now, John (HondaCBX6) rewired his Hazard light switch to perform the door opener function, kinda cool that. In any case, it's nice to have access to the box anytime without key on, even with the solonoid in place it is anything but secure, you keep anything in there that's valuable you're fooling yourself if you think it's safe...
