Seems this time of year is great weather in the Cascades - perhaps just before the wet (both clear and white) stuff starts? Big sky views for sure.

Yes we are in the tween season now. Tween pretty good weather now and cold, rain and darkness, not to mention snow in the mountain passes. There are 6 east west Cascade mountain passes in Washington. Three of them close for the season (I count Cayuse and Chinook as separate east west passes). None of them are really crossable in winter on a motorcycle. It is a El Nino year so we may get dryer and warmer temps - it just means more fog in the lowlands. For me motorcycling starts again in Feb or March.
