I set up a custom league in Yahoo Fantasy Hockey. Please come join. Thought it might be fun, since you can expend as little or as much efforst as you want and still be competetive. This is an autopick system that randomly assigns players to all 12 teams, and balances them according to default rankings. You can change the rankings before the teams are picked to improve your chances of getting certain players.

Look for "LDRiders" league name.

Blueliner is already on board. Come over and help me whoop him.

I'm a fantasy-a-holic, but I've never done hockey. Hmm...

If there is still a spot later this evening, it was meant to be.

Update: Okay, I'm in. I don't know too much about hockey. Won't it be funny when I win! How many innings are in a hockey game, anyway?

This is why I set it up with the autopick. You really don't have to know anything to be competitive. I've even had teams assigned that completely suck, despite my "copious knowledge" [sic].

Actually, this can be a good way to learn the game.

www.sportingnews.com also has a free league where they give $3 million and you hire the best team you can afford. Takes a bit more skill, and still alot of luck. Fun when it's snowy and you don't need to work on your bike.

Okay, I can't in good concious not tell you this...I'm a fantasy shark. I thought I'd be able to play dumb, but I actually know how many innings are in a hockey game. ;)

just make sure you wait to draft until I have a chance to do the z-score evaluations and consult my dog on which goalies are going to bite.

Hockey games have periods & fights, just like women. :p :p
