So I picked up a used, but well maintained 06 a few months ago at a steal. "Cool, I'm not going to do antyhing to this bike. Just ride it." I say to myself.

BS- Let me see- new seat, new tires (got a flat after 150 miles on the new rear and had to replace!), PC, fuse box, powerlets, new electric jacket and gloves, new helmet, tail bag and as of next week, a full suspension upgrade.

All that and I put over 5K on it in 3 months.

But it sure is fun!!!

Ricks, you're well on your way to becoming a member of our official farkle-master club. Talk to Patriot, our farkle king, about the cost of initiation. But don't worry about how much we charge you up front to join the club. You can make it up later by charging a fee for farkle-challenged FJR newbs to examine all your goodies!

By the way, Patriot, what are those electrical thingies hanging off the fairing next to the slider?

Been there and done that to my 0 mile '10. It never stops and I too have stood up and said "I have a problem". However the only cure I have is another farkel.

I'm in the same boat. Bought my '10 brand new Feb 26 this year.

The list so far:

Vstream

Antlers

Powerlet

Heated jacket liner & gloves

Nuvi 765t(didn't like it)

Zumo 665

Pr2's

Sena smh10

New helmet

New pants

Givi v46

Saddlebag decals

Sargeant seats

McCruise control

Escort 8500

Winpro kickstand pad

Tank bag w/ hydration bladder

And I'm sure there is more.

God that list is depressing and I don't dare put $$'s next to those items and add them up.

On the plus side, I do have 12,400 miles on it already.

It is definitely a sickness.

You mean the Stebel Compact Air Horn and wire connections?

The bracket is stabilized by three large black plastic cable ties attached around the vents in the sidepanel

Now yah see here? This is a particularily bad case of farkleosis. All reason and sound judgement has gone out the window and the patient just starts farkling everything and when there is no more room - starts adding farkles in the strangest of places. :wackosmiley: This person in clearly in need of a 12 step program. :p

Ooops.....sorry, saw the "Gone Wild" part and thought I'd get to see some *******..... :(

I don't even want to make a list. I am over the bike cost on farkles now I am sure, especially with the suspension updates, seats, smuggler, exhaust . . . sheesh! I can't stop, I can't stop. . . .

Just so ya know, farkleosis is what you have when you PLAN on, or dream about, spending money for goodies.

Farkleitis is what you have AFTER you spend the money.

Sort of like the difference between diverticulosis and diverticulitis. DAMHIK. :****:

My PT told me that tedonitis is short lived and typically goes away. If you have some sore bits that have been tweaked for more than a few weeks, you have tendonosis.

Based on the PT analogy, nearly every sad ******* on this forum has a serious case of farkleosis. The only cure is to cease all activities that cause the issue. Good look fellas :dribble:
