Pretty good F-Day for Pants.

Woke up early, washed the p-up truck and the CR-V. Then took the bike out for about 75 miles of easy wandering. Wifey and daughter took me to a nice lunch, followed by a little post-dinner siesta. We soaked in the kiddie pool in the backyard for a few minutes, and then I watched some College World Series in the evening and last night.

Best father's day I have had in a while....I got the king's treatment.

I had a great Father's Day also.

Got up to a nice breakfest made by my college age kids and then we all hit the road on the bikes to my Fathers lake place in NW Wisconsin.

My wife rode pillion behind me and our son was on his FZ6 and daughter on here SV650. I took a nice scenic route and when we got to the lake we took a boat ride and had a nice barbeque rib dinner.

I should have took some pictures as it was a FABULOUS day for sure. Great roads and food ****.

A good Papa's day here too. All three of our kids were home for my niece's wedding on Saturday, so they were all around on Daddy Day along with my two grandsons. TMJ cooked us all up a magnificent brunch with a big egg bake and some sort of French Toast-ey type of pan bake as well.

No riding done, but I'd just got back from the week long Puppy Dog Ride on Friday night. Puttered around the house during the day, gave me a chance to wash the weeks worth of mud off the Manstrom, and get a few things in order for CFR ride week.

Then for dinner Sunday night we dropped some Maine mollusks and deep water crustaceans into the big boiling kettle and had us a real feeding frenzy. I think my 6 y/o grandson enjoys the lobster and steamers more than anyone! That kid can eat some seafood.

They had all gotten together and pitched in to buy me one of those big steel fire-pits for the back yard patio. #2 daughter's boyfriend had brought along some fine cigars (Oliva Master Blends

), so we smoked some of those (he left me with a few more) and had a few frosty adult bevs around the new fire pit.

Doesn't get much better than that.

I also had a good one. My oldest daughter Danielle invited us all over for some grilled sausages and peppers. My other two daughters were there as well and Danielle's inlaws. I couldn't take the bike because I had a bunch of borrowed tools I needed to return, so I drove over in the Suburban. We spent a few hours putting the heads on my son-in-laws '79 Camaro. Yeah, we worked slowly and had a lot of fun looking things over and discussing what little we know about Chevy V8s. Had a bear run across the road in front of me on the way home just before dark. That would have been exciting if I had been on two wheels. Overall a very nice day.

I was told to go ride, so I did for 7 1/2 hours. Came home and my wife and daughter were fixing my favorite meal, fried minute pork chops...god I love those! My son and his wife joined us, and they brought the beer. Daughter gave me gift cards for The Brass Tap and The Tinderbox (she loves her Daddy). Wifey hands me gift bag (uh oh, here comes the socks), and I pull out a iPad Mini! She tells me " I thought you might like to have it on your bike!". Totally floored me that she was thinking like that. I'm so lucky to have my family.
