Yes....it is time!
The Rules:

NOT FJR specific! If you have a friend who wants to ride along, fine and dandy, dandy and fine. It's about the ride and the friendships, all are welcome.

THE PACE: PUH-LEEZE read it, comprehend it and apply it.

The Place:

Lakeview Chevron

1111 "B" Street

Marysville, CA

I'm sure there will be groups forming from various locations to ride to Marysville together.

The Time:

Meet: 0930

Kickstands UP: 1000

At least that's the plan, hope, desired end, goal, prayer, dream...........

(I will also have a Garmin map if you'd like it, email me or PM me with your email address)

Basically...from the Chevron on Hwy 20/Hwy 70 across from the lake in Marysville, take Hwy 70 through Oroville and up the Feather River Canyon. We will be stopping at the rest area for a short break/stretch   and then continue up to Quincy for lunch at the

Lunch Venue Change:

Courthouse Cafe

525 Main Street

Quincy, CA

From there we'll head East over Lee Summit, turn right on Hwy 89 through Blairsden and Glen Eagle then right again at Hwy 49. Up Bassett's Grade and stop at the overlook at the top, then down Hwy 49 to Downieville (stop at the Mini Mart on the left).

From Downieville we'll ride along the Yuba River and into Nevada City/Grass Valley. In Grass Valley we'll exit at McKnight Way and go left under the highway to the Chevron/mini mart.

From there it's down Hwy 49 to Auburn, left on Bell to I'80, esit Bowman Rd. left under I-80 and right on the frontage road, Lincoln Way, 1/4 mile to

Ikedas Tasty Burger

13510 Lincoln Way

Auburn, CA

Or we can change the end point to suit anyone's alternative.

There's gas nearby at Foresthill Road when we leave there and head our separate ways.

Length:

My Mapsource has this at 232 miles/4:21 riding time. Add in the rest stops and photo opportunities (A group shot at lunch and Bassett's with an open space for our missing Tyler sounds good!) plus lunch and this could well be a full day's entertainment. For instance, it's 350+ miles, portal to portal for me.

Lunch Venue Change!
Courthouse Cafe

525 Main Street

Quincy, CA

MT used to be ok, but its really gone downhill. For a better meal at a fair price with usually great service, I'd like to suggest the Courthouse Cafe. They are on Main St. on the east bound road, right across the street from the county courthouse. There is plenty of parking on the street for bikes and cars, or you can ride around the back of the courthouse and park on the west side. That way your machine will be off the main street.
Also, be advised, this weekend is the Plumas-Sierra County Fair so there will be lots of traffic in town and a parade starting at 10:30AM. The parade should be pretty much over by the time y'all get to Quincy. The one way streets should be back to normal, but be prepared for some strange street routing, just in case.

I'd love to ride along with on part of this ride, but I'm going to be pulling a float in the parade, so my Saturday is spoken for.

Ray
Thanks for the local information, Ray. We'll move lunch to the Courthouse Cafe. If you can, swing by and say hello. We shouldn't be in Quincy much before 12:30 or a little later. We'll be stopping at the rest area along the river for pictures and.....

Er...uhm...isn't pulling a float a little hard on the bike's clutch?

Glad to be of help. I was in Courthouse Cafe for lunch with my wife today and I gave them a heads up that a group of riders might be coming in tomorrow. I went back and read the rest of the thread and from what I see it looks to be about 22 people are going to be there. I'll give them a call in the morning and let them know the approx. number and about what time you think you'll be in. I'll try to stop in and say hi, but I promised my grandson I'd take him to the fair for his birthday. He's already excited to be riding in the parade with me.

As far as pulling a float being hard on the bikes clutch, I think the Bandit can handle it. :p
