My name is James Burleigh, but my friends call me Jimmy. I like the FJR Forum for many reasons. Mostly I like it because it is fun. I meet new friends on the Forum and get to be on the computer, which I love. But even more than my computer, I love my FJR motorcycle. I love it because it is fast and because my friends envy me. Also it is pretty. It is blue, like the sky.

I also like the FJR Forum because it lets me write about stuff, like my blue FJR motorcycle. And I get to read about other people and their FJR motorcycles. Other people's FJRs are not all exactly like mine. Some are purple, and some are silver. And sometimes they are scratched and dented. But they are all FJRs.

Also I get to see pictures of places where people live. I live in California, but a lot of people don't. So they ride their motorcycles in different places, like Alabama. I'm not sure what state that is in, but it is far away and I have never been there before. I would like to visit the City of Alabama sometime to meet new friends and to ride around with them. I hope it does not rain. It never rains in California. Sometimes it rains in the winter. But it is summer now and it never rains in the summer in California. I think California is the best state.

People put their pictures of stuff on the FJR Forum, mostly their motorcycles, which are usually FJRs. I like to look at pictures of people and where they ride on the FJR Forum. Yamaha makes FJRs. So it is fun to see pictures of other people and their Yamaha FJR motorcycles. Some of the people are bigger than their motorcycles. Sometimes they look like my dad when he drinks a lot of beer. And sometimes you get to see a picture of a girl holding another girl's bosom. But mostly you see pictures of people on their motorcycles, or just a picture of their motorcycle, which are mostly FJRs. I think they love their FJRs too.

Sometimes people on the Forum like to ride a long time. They like to ride I think for eighteen hours without ever getting off their motorcycle. I don't like to ride that long. I like to get off and go pee and sometimes poo. They pee and poo in a little bag made of polydurasite techtra-hexaleen. They are very smart with electricity and stuff like that. The bag is attached with carbon steel fiber from Portugal or maybe Wisconsin. When they pee or poo in the bag, the pee or poo gets pumped I think from the bag on their handlebars to a wastewater treatment plant under their seat. I only have a tool kit under my seat. But that is okay because that is all I need. But they also have a special box on their motorcycle with lights and stuff and a little computer monitor that tells them exactly where the pee and poo is anywhere in the world. And they eat raisins and nuts when they go riding a long time. I think they are nuts.

Sometimes people crash on the Forum, but the Forum never crashes. I'm glad it does not crash, because then I would be sad because I could not play on the Forum. There are people called administrators who make the Forum work on the Internets. One of them is I think a sheriff, but he is skinny like my sister Bullet. I want to tell them I love them too, because they let me be able to play on the FJR Forum when I want to. Sometimes they are funny, but they can make you not get to be on the Forum if you break the rules. My mom told me that rules are good, because they are like boundaries. A boundary is like your back fence so Zippy cannot get out and pee on Mr. Burns's lawn. Mr. Burns came over one day and Zippy got a spanking from my mom. Sometimes Forum members get spankings too. And sometimes they get piled on. But if you follow the rules and never ask where your order is even though your check has been cashed, then probably no one will pile on you. So it is best to always follow the rules and to be patient on the FJR Forum. When I get piled on it makes me sad.

I like the FJR Forum for many reasons. Mostly I like it because I get to play with my invisible friends. That's all.

Hilarious! How on earth do you come up with this stuff? Your composition is worthy of a gold star. (Excellent penmanship by the way).

For extra credit, can you describe some of the people you've met on this forum and tell the class why you like (or don't like) them?

Saturday morning. A fellah wakes up. Makes himself a Starbucks latte. Sits down at the computer to check out the forum. Thinks to himself about all the reasons he likes visiting the forum. So he decides to post a new thread on what he likes about the forum.

Okay, so it happens to be written from the mind of a fifth grader. What's so odd about that?

Okay, never mind.... :glare:

I think I'll go mow the lawn... :(

Dear Mr. Burleigh,

As the vice president of my 5th grade class I take offense to your portrayal of 5th graders in your essay. You seem to say that all 5th graders are incapable of understanding the deeper meaning of FJR ownership and communcation with others of similar tastes. Please do not continue this behavior and a full apology is in order. I can be found either playing marbles by the monkey bars or out on the lawn putting grass clippings in girls dresses.

Sincerly, HYCLE

Hilarious!

Posting after JB is like going on stage after, oh I don't know, Eric Clapton or something. You know you're going to suck but you post anyway.

It's like that following him on the bike too. "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy"

This being the FJR Forum, now THAT's a compliment.

Thanks, Mike!
