With some (great) real-life stuff going on ....I haven't logged but a couple thousand miles since January ...and NONE of those miles have been on the FJR. Jeeze, without question the longest FJR drought for me.

Been so long, I'm not even sure which lever is the clutch?, or which is the brake? ....so I've decided to just not use either and go spend a few days logging a few miles.

Not sure of my exact plans/route, but pretty darn sure that Las Vegas will be part of the adventure -always fun and perhaps I'll see if I can find and over-turn that rock that GunMD has been hiding under the last few months. Also, it's warmer that direction -It'll be sub freezing when I leave Reno in a bit here.

I'll be doing the SPOT/STM tracking thing and perhaps even blogging a bit. Any bored enough can check it out here(CLICKY)

speed-shifting and not braking ...renojohn

Making a run through DV is always nice. Flat but nice. Don't think there are any known twisties out your way.

As for which one is which, you will figure it out at the first stop. :dribble:

Good morning John. Funny thing. I just tied my camping stuff to my bike, and I too am heading south for a few days.

Rolling in just a couple of minutes.

I'll be staying close to the ocean most of the way though. Perhaps our paths will cross.

Have a great trip on your motobike.

Peace.

I'm not going anywhere, and have no plans for the near future for that to change. :angry2: :******: 's

Okay, his SPOT hasn't moved since 1:40 PM yesterday.

Maybe he met a nice showgirl. (Or guy; not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Maybe he's trying to win back his 401k.

I say we mount up a rescue party.

John or Michael if either of you get with 100 miles of LA call me.

Richard, I slept on a park bench in Torrance last night. Couldn't find a motel room.

I'm almost to San Diego now. Getting beach burnout.

Okay, his SPOT hasn't moved since 1:40 PM yesterday.
The spot's in his drawers. It won't move till he finds a laudromat.

I'm gonna move inland tomorrow, and check out some of these so-called SoCal twisties.

It's hot down here. :D

Missed you by a day RJ. I'm in Reno right now. I cut across DV and up 395. It was a great ride. I wanted to go up to the lake but the roads I wanted to ride are closed right now. I did manage to find a dirt road to wander down for a couple miles before it became to soggy to continue. I plan on doing a ride report when I get back so I will post pictures then. I am heading back to Vegas on Sunday so I may pass you if you take 95. So get your blog updated so we know where the heck you are!!!!

My spot tracker: Here is Bret

See you on the road!
