Today I saw Bruce's (on this forum) 05 FJR ABS in NJ. This is the first time I saw a FJR up close!

He also gave me a pillion ride! (Yikes) I am not used to sitting on the backseat and for a few I thought I might slide off the back. Thanks Bruce for the look see.

I checked the seat height, reach and ergo. Real neat build and design. Like the engine purr :clapping:

Now, I must test ride one myself. :yahoo:

...Like a kid in a candy store!!!

If you think the back seat is nice, Wait till you take the helm! :yahoo:

Good job Bruce! We got another convert!

Shrinath,

Again, my pleasure to help bring another into the fold. B)

I think you will enjoy this bike as much as the rest of us. Its equally at home playing in the twisties, or piling up miles on a tour. Add in the incredibly widespread choice and availability of Farkles, and you've practically reached 'Cycling Nirvana! Not to mention these outstanding people right here.

And we never went over 4500 rpm, or half throttle! :D Imagine how much fun you'll have when you get yours and open it up for the first time!

I finally got to test ride an '06A today. I am a Goldwing rider. I must say that in many ways it made the Wing feel like riding an 18 wheeler. The shifting was smooth and quiet. The handling was smooth and "user friendly". It just sailed through curves. The biggest negative that I noticed was the helmet noise even with the shield all of the way up. It really gave me an appreciation of the still air pocket behind the Cee Bailey on my Wing. Now I have to decide to buy or not to buy.

you might find that the cleaner air is with the windshield all the way down. At least it is on my bike though helmet choice could make a considerable difference.

I get a ton of noise with the shield up. Down it's quieter, but the wind beating the hell out of me will tire me too much on a long ride, so I put the shield up.

They make Cee Bailey's for the FJR. I think I'll get one. My buddy has an ST1300 and it was SILENT with the screen all the way up with his stocker. Since I know that low of a level of noise is possible, the Cee Bailey will be ordered.

Continuing with the thread hijack, I've got a +4/+3 Cee Bailey on my '05. It increased the size of the still-air pocket and reduced the noise and back pressure, but it's not going to give you a huge pocket of still, quiet air. I've heard that the V-Stream does a better job of that but may do too good a job in summer. I think it was Toecutter who planned to run a Cee Bailey in summer and a V-Stream in winter. I doubt you'll ever find as much still air as on the Wing, even with hand guards and foot guars added.

A solution is the air wings that mount on the mirror brackets... That with the V-Stream should be the best of both worlds.

Mommy...it's windy and noisy on my motorcycle...wah-wah-wah!!
