The little blizzard plus some work stuff slowed me finishing the header install, but tonite was bike nite. Test ran (in garage, roads still messy and salt covered,) noted the exhaust tone is louder than stock. Didn't find it objectionable, but really wouldn't want it any louder. Rechecked and hung the plastic. If doing this install, buy some new nylock nuts for the rear exhaust hangers. The on and off 3 times made mine about shot. Overall a quality product and an install that is not that difficult, just a bit time consuming to do it right and not bugger anything up. :D

What freight company delivered them? Guess it's time for me to try and figure out who has them and if I'm ever gonna see 'em. <_< I would expect more noise-the convertors make for an effective muffler. You running stockers or...........?

:alien: Speaking of the noise issue, if you bought early Holeshot cans Dale told me that they are packed differently than the new ones he now puts out with the full set. The new cans are packed a little differently so that with the cat removal they are I believe about the same as the old cans on the stock headers. When you install the new header without cats to the old Holeshot cans it is will be a little louder than the cans and the stock header alone. I don't know how much yet but I will tell you as soon as my ticker is fixed and the new header goes on. If the noise bothers me which I doubt cuz I were custom earmolds with stereo I will have Dale repack them to quiet them down. Mike

Well, arrived today. Nicely packed, beautiful construction, one outlet dented in 1/4 of the way. Just seems to be the way it goes for me. Not sure if my straightening it will void any finish warranty, but what the hell's a guy to do? :(

Returning it is the thing to do. Once you try something and it goes wrong, you are screwed!

Nah. I'll just use an expander and it should straighten out with no problem. Just seems everything has been a challenge for me since I quit the butts, and I like to whine now and then. :D
