You can definitely smell the smoke and there is a strong haze at the moment, the wind is blowing the worst to the East of us at the moment.

It's been very dry here and we had very low snow falls so it's going to be a busy season for the firefighters.

The fires appear to be quite a bit straight north of Montreal and east of James Bay, but the smoke is travelling south. Can BugR smell it? He's a bit west of there. I'm going to guess Mt. Tremblant itself OK, but anything east (prevailing westerlies) and southeast might be seeing smoke. Looks like it's travelling a long way.
The NASA link appears to be from 2005. But maybe those are Quebec years!!

Well overnight we had a good 12 hrs of rain so that should help the firefighters.

I would mind another week it's been a really dry spring.

Just had a look at the weather for Mont-Tremblant and looks like a few days of rain in the near future. Hopefully that be the same in the areas of the fires. And then stop by the time of CFR.

Pierre and I conducted the site review yesterday the rain we had looks to have done the job, no smoke smell or haze at all.
