Okay, that sums it up. Had a smile on my face the whole way home. Didn't get too much of a chance to check out the handling as it was all highway coming home but will get her out some time this week on the twisties even if I have to take a day off. Cannot believe the smoothness and the power of this bike. Stopped at In and Out (SOCAL burger joint) and people just looked at the bike and gave the, "nice ride" comment. Was grinning from ear to ear all the way home.

Looks odd to have a Yamaha out there that is BLACK. Surrounded by two other Yahama products in corporate blue.

Looking forward to many miles.

Congratulations on a great choice in a very fine bike. Seems just like the other day I brought my 06 A home and the good part it just keeps getting better and better....enjoy. Ya know, when I look at the other ST's and compare it to the FJR, I just got to say.....naaaaa. The FJR is so much more appealing. Am I being biased? And we do want a real road test report and some pics when your done soon! Take care, PM. <>< ;)

Finally, a fresh perspective. Sounds vaguely familiar.

Get some sliders and a radar detector with sound piped into your helmet. Yer gonna need it. Well, hopefully, not the sliders. But the CHP is gunnin' for us heavy.

Finally someone in the AV bought an 08. Now when can I come check it out? Did you buy it from Palmdale SuperCycles or did you go down into the LA Basin? Counting down the Days till I get to go buy mine.... Can't hardly wait...

Welcome and congrats on the new ride!

I work in Mojave at Scaled Composites, used to live in Tehachapi, but now live in Bakersfield. I'm still pretty jazzed about my '06 FJR. It keeps getting better and better. We should meet someday and compare machines.

Like Toe said, sliders were the first addition to mine (Motovation).

Then the FJR Euro tankbag, the Vista-Cruise, the Power Commander-III, the heated grips, the V-Stream, the Bill Mayer saddle, ... and the list goes on ..better and better!

I got mine from Bert's Mega Mall. They were the only one's willing to get it to me in 3 days. Did get an email from OTD cycles in Orange about them getting two in a couple of days from now.

I've had my 06 for almost two years now and still smile the whole time I am riding it. Especially when twisting the throttle. That never gets old.

Anytime. Better yet, let's schedule a ride. Itchin to get this thing down Boquet and little T, not to mention Castaic Lake.
