Well, I finally got around to installing the G2 Throttle Tube yesterday. I don't have a compressor so I used the small screwdriver-squirt WD-40-keep working it method of removing the grip. It's a 4-handed operation, so Mrs. Rockhead helped. The whole thing took about 1/2 hour, plus a 2-hour interlude in the middle when a storm knocked the power out.

There is definite improvement, especially a low speed. I just ordered a PCIII and am anxious to see what it does.

Thanks to everyone for the info on this farkle and how to do it.

I don't think I'd be comfortable using WD-40 under my grips, but I'm glad it worked out for you.

I used WD-40 to get it off, then cleaned the inside and used soapy water to get it back on. Last time I replaced a grip on a motorcycle I used hairspray to get it on but didn't have any around.
