Our Italian FJR Forum organized its first Christmas Dinner a few days ago.

We booked a restaurant in the town of Monza (where the F1 Grand Prix takes place) and 25 of our members showed up. No bikes, due to the pretty frigid weather...

As a special guest we had Drjfjr from Louisville, KY who happened to be in the area with a business associate, and both joined the party.

You can see him here at the end of the table (RH) listening to one of my tall stories (LH).

Notice the amount of wine bottles that perished that night.

Dang, why'd they bother giving you all plates? No food but plenty of Vino. Looks like a great time!

What a great time that must have been for DrjFJR...on business in Italy and get a party thrown just for you!

With all the hands flyin' around, what are you guys arguing about?
Arguing? No way. We were signaling for the waiter (RH, standing ) to bring in more wine:D :D :D

Man, that was a loud congregation! ;) Around midnight, the people from the disco next door came in to complain about the noise

Damn Stef. That looks like a truly good time. Nothing like sharing good times, with like minded folk, over some good food, and of course wine.

I have just added to my "things to do before I die" list. I sincerely hope that someday I get to break bread, and of course tip a glass, with you in person in that awesome country of yours.

Until then........

Cheers!

The only thing missing on this trip was riding the ALPS. That is what I am waiting for. B)
I used to dream of riding the Alps. Now, after driving it in a car, I dream of riding the Tuscany area of Italy.

Bros,

You have a standing invitation to visit here and ride with us. If you show up bike-less (as Don just did), you are equally welcome. If we don't have a dinner planned, we'll throw one for you (all we really need is an excuse :D ).

An International Forum Meet for FJR riders is a pipe dream of mine. I've done one for the K1200RS community and I sure can do that again.

All you need to do is tell me: "there's - say - 10 of us and we want to ride the Alps". I can quickly scare up another 20 FJRiders wanting to join the group

Wine's already in the cellar ready for the event.... :p

Stef

Riding through Europe on an FJR would be a dream come true for me! Someday Someday!!! ;)

Not quite Deal's Gap material...but the wine is way better here ;)

I would venture to say that Italy does have better wine than Tennessee!

Now, we'll just be quiet about California wines and play nice :D
