Will be starting an attempt at running a butt burner 1500 Friday morning from Fargo ND to Sioux Falls SD, Billings MT and Back to Fargo. I think my mouth may have wrote a check my ass can't cash!
If I'm reading you right, you are doing a regular bun burner i.e. 1500 in 36hr as opposed to the BBG (bun burner gold) which is in 24 hr. I've done the BBG so know it is a tough ride. The regular bun burner is pretty doable since you have the additional 12 hours which really allows good and easy pit stops and even some sleep time. The BBG really requires pretty quick gas stops and no sleep. To do the regular bun burner only requires a 42 mph average if using the whole 36hr. as opposed to about 63mph average for BBG. Just eat small amount of protein with no large meals (makes real sleepy) and stay hydrated (hydration system a must IMHO). Good luck and ride safe. You can always stop it if don't feel right and do again later. Mental prep is the biggest thing. Will be starting an attempt at running a butt burner 1500 Friday morning from Fargo ND to Sioux Falls SD, Billings MT and Back to Fargo.
