I am just delighted that we got out to ride in January. It has been an odd weather year in the beautiful Willamette Valley, with almost no rain in December, none in January until two weeks ago when we had record rain. Fog, freezing fog and snow have rounded out the weather offerings and any decent days to ride have coincided with work days...UNTIL YESTERDAY!!

We got out and put just under 100 miles on the bikes. Karyn had the FJR out and I was on the FZ1 (the cruisers stayed in the garage and pouted).

The river was full, and the falls were nice:

And hard to believe that this pool is about 30 feet upstream from the falls:

All in all, it was a great way to knock the rust off our skills, and get out and ride again.

Nice pictures. Make sure you make it up to Busters next month to tell lies with the rest of us.

It's been good enough to ride on this side of the hill except for the 3/4 mile of ice from my driveway to the pavement. :angry2: I am going to have to dig out the trailer soon.

Nice ride for January! Nice pics. Those pants of yours look comfy down to about -40F.
The pants are Kilimanjaro lined mesh; they are great for summer riding, and with the liners in and some thermals, they do OK to about 35 degrees. Just bulky. The jackets are new this year, much warmer than the Kilimanjaro jackets!
