You guys may remember seeing my '06 being shipped to my door last month. Well it has finally warmed up enough to take her out on the open roads. Did a brief 40 miles. Wow, what a difference from the FZ-1. I now have comfort, wind protection, turbine smooth motor, torque and crisp handling for a big sport tourer. Very pleased with everything. Very stable at 90 miles an hour. Only really feel the weight at slow speeds. Perfect bike for long distance riding. What you see under the tank bag is plastic wrap until I get my paint protection on. Waiting for Ian to send me the delrins sliders that I swapped for the aluminum.

Something about spring and a motorcycle to lift the spirits after a long cold winter. Yee Haw!

Great to see you out already! I'm still in spring tune up mode (tires ect. ) I'll be out there soon so maybe We'll look you up for a ride? this season!

I just did my last snowmobile ride last Wednesday (first day of spring). The fat lady has sung, it's over unless you are in the higher elevations provided you can get there.

The motor in my sled is the detuned Yamaha R1 so there is some relavence here. 150hp. Electronically adjustable compression dampening Ohlins rear shock. The other sled is a factory turbocharged 660 four stroke from Arctic cat. Pics were taken in VT.

Join the frozen north club. This has been a great year to ride in New England - I got to rode to work January 4-5! Who said Global Warming is a bad thing! I didn't even bother registering the sleds this year. Go ahead and install heated grips and get a good pair of insulated riding pants.

after reading about traveling NH and Maine in the M/C mags I hope to cruise your way in June.
Give me a holler when you're ready to head out. Big events in June, Americade, Lake George, NY, usually begins the 1st Tues in June; Laconia Bike Week, NH, 2nd week (?).

Skip, how were the roads in NH? I'm planning to ride up to LIncoln NH this weekend if there isn't too much sand/salt down. Put my sled away also.

Got my brothers ride report last night, melting fast on the southern exposures, but still had a blast.

Rumble those are some beautiful sleds! Definitely on my toy list after retirement. Glad you all are warming up.

George-the roads are clean of salt however there is still the residual sand in places. Beware of black ice in the morning as the snow banks are melting during the day and re-freezing at night. Be extra aware in any shady areas as they may still be holding low temperatures. The afternoons are the best as everything has had time to melt and dry. Supposed to warm up this week. April is right around the corner. Before you know it we will be trying to keep cool from too much heat. Hope to see this summer. Ride safe.
