Hi All,

Just came back from my very first ride on the 2007 FJR that I purchased this past Friday :yahoo:

WOW is all I can say, really responsive machine. I have a cruiser and this is a night and day difference. Bike came with a Rick Mayer saddle,Vstream shield, heated grips and a few other goodies.

Put about 60 or so mile in the country roads here in N. California, can't wait to get some more saddle time in so I can really go for a nice trip along the coast.

I did notice the the handle bar reach was a little bit of a stretch for me. I read in the manual the bars on the 07 can be adjusted a little so if I can improve that then it would help.

This is a great forum reading here has inspired me to make the leap and I'm glad I did.

Regards

Mario

It only gets better! Except for winter,.. damn living in Eastern Canada sucks. It's that time of year that i get the "sit in front of puter" and shop for a new more interesting bike,....Once again, this year i can't really find one that i could justify.

Have a root around and look at pics and comments on the Heli Top clamp if you feel that the stock adjustment rearward isn't enough.

Cheers and Welcome

Don

Congrats on the new bike, Mario! If the H-Bar adj is not enough, you can get risers that allow more adj than the stock setup.

Congrats! I bought new (to me) 07 almost a month ago and I am loving it. Most fun I've had on a bike in a long time.

Congrats....now go enjoy the permanent grin you will have etched on your face from riding her :)
I get a recurring permanent grin remembering how a new owner feels when I read posts like this. Good on ya Mario. 6 yrs. later and the feelings still there every ride. :D

Congratulations neighbor, I bought mine a few days before you, and am love'in it too! :yahoo: The hard part 'bout own'in one of these gems is gonna be keep'in ones drivers license here in the "golden" state.

Even though I've owned faster bikes, this one is the smoothest, most deceptively fast. When yer go'in 90, it feels like you're not even moving! Think I'm gonna need me a radar detector; it should just come with the bike!

If you're plan'in a ride up the coast, let me know, and I might be able to hook up with you.

I took the same leap last year and have loved every minute of it!

This is my 11th bike, and I do not recall being so in love with riding as I became last year

Put 5300 miles on my '05 last year, with lots more to come

Enjoy!!

Welcome home Mario ! I too have a cruiser. It's a 2008 Road Star but this old Feejer (2004) is quickly becomming my favorite bike. I bought it to run with my grown sons that have a FZ1 and a CBR600. Just ordered the GPS and taking the FJR to the Smookies in May with my sons. When they come home I'm going to Feejer all the way up the Blue Ridge Parkway to check out Gettysburg National Park then back home to Indiana.

You live in a great area to ride..
