First thing to wear out? Mostly your crotch... from being cooked. The way I figure it, the FJR has been responsible for an average population reduction of 2 to 3% world wide! Now wouldn't ya know it, the '06 comes along and claims to fix that problem! Ride on! :D

19,000 on my '05. I've done nothing but regular maintenance and added a few comfort items (Audiovox cruise, Corbin seat, etc)

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!  Do not use Loctite on any screws that contact plastic, especially fairing screws.  The Loctite will destroy the plastic.Warp
I agree with you all the way, if you intend on taking those screws out again... I have no intention of ever taking those screws out... and I don't want them falling out..
The point is that loctite will attack ABS and other plastics and eat it like it was attacked by acid. If you are going to use loctite on the retaining screws of the locks on the side bags, do it away from the bike and make sure you don't over-apply it. Keep just a little bit on the threads and don't let it touch the plastic.

Any other application of Loctite that risks contact with ABS or other plastics should be avoided and some alternative retention should be used (silicone caulk on the threads for example).

I got ya Bounce... Thanks for the heads up.. I didn't know that about the Locktite... I actually used a different product that we have in Service shop.

not Locktite brand, so Im not sure if that is the same or not... don't have a name brand for ya.. but seems Ok and agree about the small amount on threads, you don't need alot... :)
