Man this is way off the motorcycle path....anyway. My son just graduated college (yipeee!) he wants to go fishing with me and his grandpa (my Dad) somewhere in Alaska.

Does anyone here have an exceptional recommendation of a really good outfitter you either know or have used before. When you search on the web for outfitters....there everywhere!

Geez I thought this was gonna be easy..............

What do you want to fish for? Taking a head boat out of Homer for Halibut is fairly reasonable and your very likely to catch a bunch of 40-50 pounders. You could also get a charter out for the real big halibut 2-300 pounds. You can fish for salmon on the Kenai Pennisula without a guide. I don't have any specific recommendations though.

Here is a link to a trip video of mine with some shots of my "small" halibut.

My brother has lived in Anchorage almost 20 years. He recommended these guys and I've been with them twice and had a hell of a good time and caught a lot of fish.

They're still using this picture from one of the times I went. I'm wearing the dark green cap. We tore it up that day.

That's like asking if there's anything to see in the lower 48. It'd help folks to know more about what you're looking for, what else you'd like to do, and where you think you want to go. We had a great time last year in the western part of the state.

But...were looking, asking around a bit, and I showed him the photos and videos you guys posted and it’s got his poor wore out brain clicking again. This has been a bigger help than you know…so thanks guys!

I'm 6'3" and he past me when he was in the 9th grade. He used to be around 6'9" or so, havent measured in a while.

Thats all he did was play basketball...year round! AAU teams and High School.

I sprayed Miracle Grow on him while he slept when he was younger.......

Gotch on the limes, that was some good stuff!

My dad has taken a few trips with these guys, and I went with him on one, along with my 2 brothers-in-law a few years ago... Best vacation of my life up till that time.
