The last 6 digits of a VIN are the numerical sequence of production for that model year. So 000013 is the 13th vehicle produced for that manufacturer (Yamaha), for that year. In the following year the numbers start over at 0000001. All the preceeding digits do mean something. Country of origin (J is Japan, 1 is USA, Y is Sweden, etc), build plant, trim level (like ABS vs non-ABS), model year, etc.Yeah, I noticed Brodie has the same vin# as I do, 00112. Who knows what's up? Are there differences in the numbers prior to the last five? Or could I steal Brodie's bike and have 2 FJR's? :lol:I see two of you have listed an 06 with Ser # 000013. WTF?

You have the rarest of rare FJRs....a 2005, Gen I AE, right?
