Well, it's been a long winter up here in Minnesota and since I could not spend all my money heating the garage for farkling sessions everyday, I thought why not have something FJR related to put in the Man Cave when I'm having a beer or two.

As you can see, I needed to add "red" side panels to the piece to make it look right. So... I'm adding those to my bike also.

I worked with a local artist that lives nearby. She has some skills with metal and glass to be sure.

Where's the snow in this painting? I guess did not use the current surroundings as inspiration!

Forget the snow......where is your riding gear. Or at least pants???

I think it's awesome. I'm assuming the scenery is local to you. The bike is depicted pretty accurately IMO.

Hppants apparently has never been to MN. There are no mountains in the Land of Lakes. I spent five years in MN in the early 60's. I believe it was the winter of1964 we had 18 straight days it never got above -20F. Hopefully Tanker will be able to get the Red Rocket out of the garage and hit the road before the Mayflies hatch!!

Well done - the dunce cap fits today, I'll wear it.

I have been to MN... once about 20 years ago. Had a week's worth of business in Minneapolis - in February. It was miserable - I think the week's high temperature was about 3. My only remotely vivid memory of that trip was sitting in the airport terminal, watching these poor *******s de-icing the wings in an exercise of futility as the blizzard falls horizontally. I distinctly remember thinking....

"If this fat ass ever gets out of this place, I'm NEVER coming back."

Hold the flames. I'm sure it's much nicer in June. But there's only 1 first impression.
