Put the bike on the centerstand and raise the front tire off the ground (I used wood and a floor jack under the headers forward of the centerstand)

Move to the front of the bike the pull the now airborn wheel forward and rearward.. Is there a clicking sensation could be audible of just felt in the hand...

That us the fastcheck for loose stearing head bearings.. If it goes clicky clikcy time to re-torque stearing head bearing... It was the case on my bike

1) check / tighten steering head bearing

2) check / inflate tires (40F / 42 R)

3) zero out and re-set front and rear suspension. Find the full range number of clicks for rebound/compression and set it where you think it should be in that range. Ride and adjust to suit. Spring pre-load will help firm up the front and rear too. Factory setting could be anywhere.

4) If all of those settings don't improve things to your liking, you need a fork brace.

I have noticed that my FJR's front end feels real shakey and almost loose when I am riding Spirited in the corners. It is almost scary to me. Does anyone know if this is a normal FJR feeling or do I have something wrong with my suspension setting. I am 6'4 and 255lbs riding stock suspension in the stock settings. What can I do to improve the handling. I am a little broke because of a farkling disease that I am trying to overcome.
I had the same issue. I am 6'3, 240, and seemed to have the same issue with feeling a little mushy and wallowed a little coming into turns at a fast pace. I too listed to Jeff's advice and cranked up the front and rear settings, and this made a big difference. Also, tightened up the steering head as it was a little loose and had a clicking noise under braking. Lastly, when I changed over to the Pilot Road2's, that really helped me out. I can take corners with confidence, and the bike feels very stable at pretty high corner speeds.

Lately, I have been taking the bags off when I ride local, and that's another benefit as it seems I can feel the weight difference. Good luck and keep us posted...

Would advise checking steering head, tire pressure.Beyond that you may be at your personal limit.

Not only do you need to upgrade the suspension given your size, but if you still have a Bridgestone BT-021 up front, you need to upgrade that too. That tire was like riding on a Slip-and-Slide compare to the Michelin Pilot Road 2 I have on the front now.
