Sweet video.
I especially love e-mailing this to my Hardley friends to remind them what crap they ride.

I wouldn't mention the button shift thing to them. You know what happens if you do.

The girl in the video was a hottie. Yea you can't see her face but you just know that any lady on an FJR is going to be hot. (no joke intended there unless you liked it)

The "e" model is going to be interesting, for get what your hand is doing and accidently hit the shifter in the middle of a high speed corner, Oh no what do I do ????

I'm going to bet that the rocket's YCC ECU won't let it shift accidently if you are ON the throttle.

In a turn and off the throttle it is still looking at vehicle speed and maybe even an inertia signal or lateral g force so my guess is that it would do a shift and slow clutch engagement.

It has to smooth out the shifts based on specific input signals or somebody will get hurt. I'm sure Yamamama doesn't want that.

I doubt WFO shifts are going to be possible until they add a drag race mode. :atv:

...speculation ...another attempt at a never ending pointless thread. :argue:

I noticed it only has one headlight lit in the video. Maybe thats Yamaha's way of freeing up some more wattage for us. Simpler (and cheaper) than addressing the alternator issue! :D
From Yamaha Motors U.S. web site, Features page.

Sleek, cat-eye dual 12V 60/55-watt multi-reflector headlight throws an extremely broad beam for superb visibility.

Would lead me to believe that there are two high/low beam elements here.

I watched the video from the link posted , but my sound card is fried and did not get to hear the sound track. I was at my dealer on Saturday to buy my woman a jacket and my sales guy said he had a video for me to see. Same ad, but at least this time I got to hear it. The video was on a DVD Yamaha had sent them and it contained short promos for many of their new models. We had to fast forward to find the FJR piece, which came right after the FZ one.

I continue to get excited.....
